About Brent Miller: Brent is proud to serve as President of our recreational soccer league, a role he has held for the past three years after being part of the organization for over a decade. Both of his daughters have played in the league, giving him a parent’s perspective on the importance of a positive and supportive experience for every family. He works closely with coaches, referees, and volunteers to ensure each season runs smoothly and fairly. Player development, sportsmanship, and community engagement guides every decision he makes. Above all, he is committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment where a lifelong love for the game can thrive.

About Maria Dassel: Maria has spent 9 great years with EYSL making sure to help bring the best coaching and experience for young players! She has played soccer since she was five years old and played through college. She loves volunteering and being involved in bringing soccer to the youth in this community as well as the referees, parents, and coaches. She is originally from Wisconsin before moving to Indiana to play soccer at the intercollegiate level. She hopes to continue to bring a happy, healthy, and fun experience to EYSL and everyone involved! She has coached with clubs across the country for over 13 years.

Mike’s experience serving Evansville’s soccer community spans decades. He has served as an unpaid volunteer throughout. He and his wife Laurie (St. Benedict teacher) began by managing teams long ago. Mike is a partner at Kahn, Dees, Donovan & Kahn LLP, one of Indiana’s oldest law firms. Mike also serves on the Board of FC Evansville United, a local travel soccer club. As a City, County and Explore Evansville attorney, Mike helped develop our region’s competitive sports infrastructure, including Goebel Soccer Park and Deaconess Sports Park. Mike lives on S. Lombard Ave. and worships at Annunciation Catholic Church, both just blocks from EYSL’s fields.
