Thank You for volunteering your time and efforts to make Evansville Youth Soccer Vann Avenue a more effective and enjoyable experience for all participating youth.  This will be the 35th or 36th season.  The following information will be helpful to you as you go through the season.

 

Parents Meeting - it is strongly recommended, each team hold a face-to-face parents meeting to pass on program information and answer questions.

 

SAFETY

ALL PRACTICE AND GAMES MUST STOP IF WEATHER SIRENS GO OFF.

BE CAREFUL OF HEAT.  ENSURE ALL PLAYERS BRING WATER.

 

Players

Playing Time - All players are to play ½ (2 Qtrs) of each and every game.

U-8, U-10 & U-12 and players must play one quarter as a field player.

 

Player Equipment

All players must wear shoes and shin guards.  Shorts of a particular color are not required.  No player shall play with a cast or splint of any kind.

Player Cards - Please secure necessary signature on player card and return them to your commissioner.

Player Fees - Collect all outstanding fees and return them to your commissioner.

 

Player Fields  (Field Map)

Game Field - Your game schedule will have an assigned field number.

Practice Fields - U-10 teams stay on fields 1 and 3.

U-12 teams practice on field SOUTH OF FIELD 4 and field 4

U6 & U-8 teams stay on fields at north end of park. (If you practice away from the goals you’ll not create bare goal areas.)      

Cones - will be in wooden shed

Balls – size 3 only for U-8 (in shed)

Uniforms - will be passed out by 21 August

 Nets (in the wooden shed)

Nets are NOT to be used for practices. 

Each team puts up and takes down one net each weekday game.  On Saturday, 1st game puts them up last game takes them down.  U-10 nets may go over back of goals.  U-12 nets should be hung from the inside of the goal.  U-8 - no nets.

Corner Flags - one for each corner - all ages including U-8.

You may secure a shed key from your commissioner.  Please return it at season’s end.

 

Sportsmanship

Coaches are responsible for their behavior and the conduct of their players.  Parents - we appreciate your assistance identifying and quieting potentially problem parents.  If you need help from the league toward a parent problem - tell us and it will be dealt with  

 

Referee - Do not hassle the Referee at any time.  If you perceive a problem or deficiency - report it and we will check it out.

Games may not be changed without consulting League President. 

Referees are scheduled in advance.

A completed game report shall be turned in for each game.

Awards go to 1st and 2nd place teams in U10 & U12 leagues.

K thru Grade 2 teams meet 2 times a week. 

U10 & U12 teams meet 3 times a week max.

 

Game Ball:

U-10 and U-12 use a size 4 ball

U6 & U8 teams use size 3 balls in wooden shed

 

Tie Breakers:

1)   Head to head results

2)   Least goals allowed (season)

3)   Most goals scored (season)

 

Standings Points:

3 points for a win

1 point for tie

No points for loss
